Harmony Acres is located in the
middle of the foothills of the beautiful Shawnee National Forest.
This 200,000+ acres of greenery is home to some of the most unique
and picturesque trail riding in the United States. Nestled in
southern Illinois, Harmony Acres is on the RIVER TO RIVER TRAIL,
which bonds the Mighty Mississippi River on the west, to the rolling
Ohio River on the east. This 146-mile trail connects scenic points
with state parks, horse camp grounds, cultural and historical
wonders.
Harmony Acres is a small
farm, near Simpson, Illinois, dedicated to the promotion of Mammoth
Jackstock for trail riding.
I am the owner, Michael
Scott, teacher, at the Anna-Jonesboro Community High School in Anna,
Illinois. In addition to my donks, I enjoy playing
traditional jazz and big band. Hence, the name, HARMONY ACRES.
Words cannot express the bond
and enjoyment I receive each day from my donks. They're good
listeners and don't ask for much in return.
